I picked it up an Wednesday the 21st Oct 1998. Just in time to go out for the evening to ESEUG (Amiga User Group). Which was pretty good timing really because I only use my (this) car once a month for this purpose. Of course now I drive it everyday to work.

These (above) pictures were taken on Saturday 24th Just after I got home from the Amiga Computer Show at Pit Lane Albert Park.

It produces 121Kw at 5600rpm, not nearly as exciting as Rik's WRX Impreza or probably even Amy's XG Falcon Ute (the EB style one) Rik now owns a R33 GTR Skyline and a CV8 Monaro after selling his WRX. And Amy has a JR Vectra instead of the Falcon
Is a V6 2.5L 24 valve, tranverse engine, yes it's front wheel drive :-( The colour is called Boysenberry, sometimes known as chamilion blue. I'm not sure of the official name, as the spray shop couldn't find any reference to Boysenberry. Diffuse reflection produces a purple colour, while direct reflection produces a pale metalic blue. Mainly on the edges and curves. Oh and it is not a bitch to match in the spray shop. Infact the painter said it was easier to match than a white car. I guess since you can never see the same colour along the whole length of the car hides the fact that half of it is resprayed.

I've been out on the track at Winton twice. And managed to get a lap time of 1m57s (92.3k/h avg) I was happy that I managed to get under 2 minutes. I got a top speed of about 140k/h nearing the end of NGK straight. Though I tend to lose it on the roll over just before Penrite corner. The second time I managed to just hit the tyre barrier and suffered a few scratches and a small pop out bump. Oh well the scars of war. I have made some film clips to music of these events, check out the Video section of the web site. I've also taken video with a lipstick camera mounted to various parts on the car, and taken a leisurely stroll up the near by mountain.

LAYER-3

Why?

After I was involved in a bumper to bumper collision, in which I had the front and rear bumper and bonnet replaced. I decided to get a custom number plate. Which I had been debating over for a few months.

Meaning?

The short version; my interests, computers/music/internet.
The long version;
Layer 3 meaning the 3rd level of the OSI networking model. Also known as the Transport Layer. Refers to routing protocols, the most common layer 3 networking protocol is TCP/IP which is the internet networking protocol (other layer 3 protocols include Appletalk and IPX)

3rd layer of encoding for mpeg audio files. MPEG 1 audio Layer 3 or more commonly know as MP3.

So strictly speaking this refers to MP3s and TCP/IP. Of course you can't have networking and digital audio files, without a machine to run them on so these two items imply a third, computers. Digital art, is what this website is all about.
